Track record

Former COO of Tabs. I built its creator program to 100M monthly social impressions, and the paid ad engine alongside it. The numbers below come from videos that program produced.

At Tabs I built the creator program and the paid ad engine alongside it. Same playbook here: a small roster, one hook library, losers killed early. Crowned Skin sells body butter cologne, body oil, body wash and eau de parfum, and I have not run this category, so the claims sheet leads.

Why now

  • Over 100,000

Happy customers, the site's own line

The home page says Over 100,000 Happy Customers. Creators add faces and voices to a claim the brand already makes.

    Published
  • 2418

    Reviews on one product page

One page shows 2418 reviews. That is real buyer language creators can react to in their own words, without inventing any.

    Published
  • 3,000+

    Ratings shown on the site

The site shows 3,000+ Ratings. A steady stream of creator video gives new shoppers the same proof in motion.

    Published
  • 163

A smaller page with fewer reviews

Another page shows Based on 163 reviews. Pages with fewer reviews are where fresh creator video can matter most.

Part 4 of 15

Principles

  1. One variable per test

Each video changes the hook or the scene, never both. 7 videos per creator per week gives 303 videos a month at ten creators, enough volume to read a result.

  2. One number to protect

Cost per 1,000 views, target $1. The simulator prints $5.74 today, so the first tests aim at the gap between the two, and nothing else.

  3. Losers killed early

A hook that stalls in the first week is cut and its slot goes to the next hook in the library, whether the scent is King or Prince.

  4. Claims sheet before camera

Creators quote three lines from the site and nothing else. A video that breaks the sheet or the skincare rule earns no $50 bonus.

One channel for everything

#briefs

Briefs, drafts, reviews and the weekly numbers

Illustrative
  1. Report botAppMon 8:00 AM

Weekly report posted: videos in, views, cost per 1,000 views against the $1 target, bonus flags. Two hooks stalled, one is above the median.

  2. MayaMon 8:30 AM

This week's brief: Monarch Ritual, $108.99. Wash first, then Monarch Body Butter, then Eau de Parfum. One hook, Cleanse, Build, Amplify. One take at the sink.

  3. JadeTue 10:12 AM

Can I say it lasts all day on camera?

Only the site's line: most customers report 8–12 hours, depending on the scent and skin chemistry. Say that, or say nothing about hours.

  4. MayaWed 2:15 PM

Draft sent back: the opening says it fixes dry skin. We make no such claim. Reshoot the first three seconds on Reign, Fresh and Nautical, keep the rest.

  5. Check botAppThu 11:00 AM

Check: every draft scored against the claims sheet and the skincare rule before it goes live. One flagged for review, the rest pass.

  6. LeoFri 9:40 AM

The King Body Butter Cologne video, Warm and Sensual, is moving and people ask where to buy it.

If it passes 100,000 organic views, the $50 flat bonus is yours. I'll flag it for a paid test.

The messages illustrate the working channel, with invented people: briefs go out on Monday, claims questions get an answer the same day, and nothing posts without the check.

Part 5 of 15

Formats

  1. Shower-first sequence

    Brief 01

    Shower-first sequence

“it starts in the shower now.”

One take at the bathroom counter: wash lathers, then butter, then a spritz of parfum. Hold the bottle labels to camera.

  2. Three-step ritual

    Brief 02

    Three-step ritual

    “Cleanse, Build, Amplify.”

Three clips, one per step of the Monarch Ritual, cut on each product change. Voiceover only, no on-screen claims.

  3. Why it fades

    Brief 03

    Why it fades

“Why Your Cologne Stops Smelling After 2 Hours”

Talk to camera while applying King Body Oil Cologne. Say what you do now; use the 8–12 hours line only as the sheet words it.

  4. Five scents

    Brief 04

    Five scents

“Five scents. Fourteen formulas. One crown.”

Line up King, Reign, Monarch, Prince and Empire jars. Smell each on camera, say which mood it fits. No ranking against other brands.

  5. Find your scent

    Brief 05

    Find your scent

    “Find Your Scent”

Pick a scent for a friend and explain why. Film the reaction to Prince, Smoky Santal, not a sales line.

Every product line in a video comes off the claims sheet word for word, for example “Crowned Skin products are designed with long-wear formulations. Most customers report the fragrance lasting 8–12 hours, depending on the scent and your skin’s natural chemistry.”, “As Seen on Shark Tank”, “Over 100,000 Happy Customers”. Product names are said as printed.

Part 6 of 15

Recruiting

Four sources in

  • Buyers who already film

Customers of the Body Butter Cologne who post their own routine. Start with the ones who name the scent: King, Reign, Monarch, Prince or Empire.

  • Affiliate or ambassador page

The menu lists Subscribe and Save and Gift Cards, but I did not find an affiliate or ambassador page on the site. The roster starts from direct outreach.

  • Fragrance and grooming reviewers

Creators who already review colognes and body care. The Eau de Parfum at $64.99 per scent gives them a clear single-product video.

  • Gift-guide and haul creators

The Crowned In The Tank Bundle at $149.99 and the Gift Card at $10.00 hand gift-guide creators a plain story to tell.

Five filters, fewer each step

  1. 1Scent vocabulary

Describes Warm and Sensual or Smoky Citrus Musk in their own words, not a script.

  2. 2Claims discipline

Passes a test video with no health promise and no comparison to other brands.

  3. 3Comment quality

Real questions and replies under their last videos, not only emoji.

  4. 4Audience fit

Men, or people who buy for them: the site positions the line for men.

  5. 5Production

Shoots clean on a phone and can deliver 7 videos a week without padding.

Part 7 of 15

Who we pick

  • Shower-routine guy

Films the wash step first, steam and all, then walks through the full sequence.

Likely product: King Cologne-Infused Body Wash

  • Layering nerd

Explains why each step sits on the one before it and shows the order on camera.

Likely product: Monarch Ritual - Body Butter, Body Wash and Eau de Parfum

  • Fragrance reviewer

Reviews single scents by mood, occasion and how the day goes, with no cross-brand ranking.

Likely product: King Eau de Parfum

  • Gift-guide maker

Builds a present around a bundle and shows the unboxing in one clean take.

Likely product: Crowned In The Tank Bundle

  • Body oil minimalist

Keeps the routine short: one oil, one scent, one honest sentence about how it feels.

Likely product: Prince Body Oil Cologne - Smoky Santal

  • Trial-size tester

Tries the vials and tells the audience which scent to buy in full size first.

Likely product: The Crowned Skin Cologne Discovery Set

Left off, every time

Always left out: creators who promise skin results, rank Crowned Skin against other brands by name, or post before the claims check. Skin is a regulated topic, so no health outcome gets said, whatever the creator's reach.

Part 9 of 15

Claims sheet

Approved, word for word

Quoted exactly as the brand publishes it.

  • “Formulated to Attract”

Tagline: closing line or caption, never as a promised result.

  • “As Seen on Shark Tank”

Intro or caption. Say no more than this about the show.

  • “Over 100,000 Happy Customers”

Voiceover or caption, worded exactly as the site words it.

  • “3,000+ Ratings”

Caption next to a product shot.

  • “Five scents. Fourteen formulas. One crown.”

Five scents format, as the opening or closing line.

  • “Each step is formulated and tested to layer on the one before it — not three separate products, one sequence.”

    Three-step ritual and Shower-first formats.

  • “Most customers report the fragrance lasting 8–12 hours, depending on the scent and your skin’s natural chemistry.”

Why it fades format, with the full sentence, never trimmed.

Never said

Each one with the reason it stays out.

  • It fixes dry skin

A health outcome. Only the brand's own wording is allowed.

  • Safe for sensitive skin

The site gives no such statement, so a creator cannot make it.

  • Dermatologist approved

Nothing on the site supports it.

  • Lasts all day on everyone

The site says hours depend on the scent and your skin's chemistry.

  • Better than any other cologne

Comparisons to other brands are banned, named or not.

  • The Sharks invested in us

The site says only As Seen on Shark Tank, nothing about a deal.

  • Guaranteed to get you noticed

Formulated to Attract is the brand's tagline, not a promised result.

To confirm with the brand

Held until someone on the brand side signs off.

  • 100% organic made from natural ingredients

The site says it. The lead confirms the exact wording before any creator repeats it.

  • SHARKTANK15 for 15% off a first order

Confirm the code is still live and which orders it covers before a creator says it.

  • Free shipping over $80

Confirm it applies in the creator's audience region before it goes in a video.

Part 10 of 15

Pay

  • Starter

    $300–600

    a month, by band

For new creators proving they can hold the claims sheet and ship seven videos a week.

    Bonus at the cap: $300

  • Standard

    $500–1,000

    a month, by band

For creators whose videos reliably clear the median and need little rework.

    Bonus at the cap: $500

  • Premium

    $800–1,500

    a month, by band

For the few who bring the hook library new angles and hold breakout videos.

    Bonus at the cap: $700

  1. Under 100,000 views

    $0

The base pay covers the work.

  2. 100,000 views

    +$50 flat

    Whatever the band.

  3. 1,000,000 views

    Top-up to your cap

Bonus = band cap − base pay.

  • One bonus per creator per month, however many videos pass 100,000 views.
  • The $50 flat is judged per video, not on a creator's monthly total.
  • Organic views only: paid or boosted views never count toward the 100,000.
  • No bonus on a video that broke the claims sheet or the skincare category rule.

Starter: $600 cap − $300 fee = $300 bonus; Standard: $1,000 cap − $500 fee = $500 bonus; Premium: $1,500 cap − $800 fee = $700 bonus.

The bonus pays for reach after the work is done, never instead of it. One bonus per creator per calendar month keeps it an incentive and keeps the program cost predictable.

To hit $1, the roster needs about 10.1M views a month. That means about 4.2% of videos going viral, or a median near 22K views per video. That is why the day-90 gate exists: keep the accounts that clear it, replace the rest.

Proposed, not measured. Views = videos × median, breakouts at 10× the median, viral at 750K. Bonus: +$50 for a viral video, one per creator per month.

The math. Videos a month = 10 creators × 7 a week × 52 ÷ 12 = 303. Views per video = (1 − 4% − 0.5%) × 1,500 + 4% × 10 × 1,500 + 0.5% × 750,000 = 5,782.5; 303 videos × 5,782.5 = 1.8M views a month. Cost = 10 × $1,000 = $10,000 base + 1 bonus × $50 = $10,050. Cost per 1,000 views = $10,050 ÷ 1.8M × 1,000 = $5.74 against a $1.00 target. To hit the target, either 4.2% of videos go viral or the median video reaches 21,711 views, other inputs held.

Move the sliders and the label recalculates. The result is only as good as the guesses behind it, so the median views, the share of breakouts and the share of viral videos are marked as Assumptions until the first month of posts replaces them.

Exit to paid

From organic to paid

  1. Organic first

Every video posts organic. Only videos above the median become candidates for paid.

  2. Usage rights

The creator confirms in writing that the video may run as an ad, before any budget moves.

  3. Small paid test

The winner runs as an ad on a small test budget, changing one variable: the hook or the audience.

  4. Scale or stop

If cost per 1,000 views holds near the $1 target, budget rises. If not, the video is killed early.

From the video to the checkout

  • King Ritual page at $108.99, which ships free
  • Build a Bundle for videos that show sets, with free shipping over $80
  • Subscribe and Save for routine videos: 20% off every delivery, pause or cancel
  • The Cologne Discovery Set at $34.99 for first-time buyers
  • The 30-day return policy at checkout, mentioned only if the sheet allows it

Part 15 of 15

Category rules

Skincare and fragrance rules for creators

Body butter, body oil, wash and parfum sell on feel and scent, and the claims are the brand's. Ten creators and 303 videos a month all stay inside these six rules.

  • No health outcomes

Say how it smells, feels and layers. Never say it fixes, clears or heals skin. Any health words must be the brand's own, quoted from the claims sheet.

  • Organic wording needs a check

The site says 100% organic. Creators repeat it only after the lead confirms the exact wording. Until then, skip it and talk about the scent.

  • Hours are the brand's, not yours

Most customers report 8–12 hours, depending on scent and skin chemistry. Say that line whole or nothing; no promise of all day on every skin.

  • No comparisons by name

Never rank Crowned Skin against other brands. Compare scents inside the line only: King, Reign, Monarch, Prince, Empire.

  • Disclose every paid post

A creator paid in any band, Starter at $300 base up to Premium at $800, uses the platform's partnership label and says so aloud.

  • Offers only as listed

Quote prices and codes as the site lists them, like $108.99 for the King Ritual. Confirm a code is live first; a video that breaks the sheet earns no $50 bonus.

The brand’s legal team sets the final rules. This is the operating floor I’d start from, not legal advice.
